Hi everyone
I just finished my first and probably last spanish ''siesta''. When it all begin here in Spain I will hardly get time for such a great relax.
As you guessed, Im riding Vuelta for the fourth time in my career. It all starts saturday here in spanish holiday city Benidorm. Everyone knows about the situation in team, that everyone found or is looking for a job next year, despite this fact, its great atmosphere in the team and Im sure everyone is 100 percent motivated to give his best. The team is coming here with the ambition of taking stage victories. We have four sprinters here, so Im sure there will be plenty of opportunity to show that our lead out train is still the best. For me, I will try to take my chance in second and third week. I will try to go higher than my results in previous years when I got eight, fifth and last year third.
Few words about my and Peters future. Tuesday we met with our manager Tony Rominger and Quickstep team manager Mr Lefevre. We signed a deal for next two years. We are excited to be joining this belgium squad. There is a lot of changes happening in Quickstep, we will meet there some of ours old team mates so we are very happy about that.
Greetings!
Martin
