5th and 6th stage of Vuelta

Hi

Yet another update from last two stages. The fifth stage was pretty relaxed. Altough was almost 200km long, but we had time to spin the legs at least. The stage was without a major climb and it was quite an easy day sitting in a bunch. Just the finale was hectic like the sprint finishes always are. We did try to make a train for cav in the finale kilometres, but were just short of man. Martin and Lars did a great job, pulling 55km/h from 10keys mark until like 5km to go. After that it was my turn, but it was obvious we hit the front too early. Cav sprinted to 3rd place, nevermind, next time we try again.

Today was little bit more complicated and it seemed, that the breakaway group could even make it to the finish. It would mean less stress before the last climb of the day. Luckily I think no one crashed. I had a good position hitting the climb, what was even more important before the tricky downhill where we could see couple of punctures. There was a split on top of the climb, but at the end it all came together and we were set for about 70 riders bunch sprint. Martin got me into good position one key to go, but I just wasnt fast enough. 7th place is fine for today, I guess I couldnt do much more.

Peter
